A classic family breakfast these cinnamon waffles add a bit more flavor to the breakfast table. You can top these with maple syrup and tender poached pears to make a great flavorful breakfast. A side of thinly sliced raw pear or apple pairs well with these delicious waffles.
Cinnamon Waffles
These cinnamon waffles are a great change from the normal waffles as they can pair with different breakfast foods to change things up. Light and golden crispy these taste great when you top them with your usual butter and maple syrup. The cinnamon adds flavor without adding any more sugar to the batter.
What Should I Top The Waffles With?
Feel free to use the classic toppings like butter, maple syrup, and a dollop of whipped topping. To take it up a notch and add a fruit – why not try a wonderful raspberry sauce, or a great apple butter all of which add a great fruit flavor to these waffles as well. The cinnamon pairs with everything!
Tips
- If you do not have a timer on your waffle maker you can tell when they are getting close to cooked when the steam stops coming out of the sides of the waffle maker.

How to Use a Waffle Maker
If you’ve never used one before it might seem a bit daunting, but it’s super easy to use a waffle maker! Just oil both sides, preheat it to medium-high, and cook it at the same temp or on the “waffles” setting for 5-8 minutes. If needed, oil the waffle iron between waffles using a basting brush with oil.
These easy cinnamon waffles are a versatile breakfast that even kids with picky tendencies will enjoy. They can choose their favorite topping and make it just the way they like.
