Well, this is officially where this once cute pastime starts to actually stress me out a little.
Day 15? As in less than 10 days until the BIG DAY?
Until Santa comes?
Until we eat glorious turkey, my mother’s homemade perogies, stuffing and my Grandma Marion’s traditional Christmas Pudding?
Also until I have to deal with crazy spun children being spoiled by their grandparents and every relative who steps foot in their house?
And dishes. Oh so many dishes.
Ok, I lied about the dishes. Mr Magpie always does the dishes. Lord, I love that man for his dishwashing capabilities alone.
We think the above Lego set is a patio table with a little gas warmer on it. Any other guesses or did we nail that one?
Today saw a lovely winter snowstorm- hurray for living in Edmonton, Alberta!- on of course, the day that had me running all over town for all sorts of things, Christmas play rehearsals, last minute purchases for the amazing baskets that we are raffling off at the Christmas play tomorrow night.
I have my eye on the Tupperware one. Oh my, I could put that to good use.
Or the Spa one. I packed it up. I know what goodies are waiting for me in there. Crossing my fingers.
We got home and the kids proceeded to help remove the first 6 inches of snow that fell on our sidewalk and the neighbors. Sadly the neighbors won’t even be able to tell we were trying to be nice, or as my daughter put it as she walked up their sidewalk and started to clean their front porch, “I’m JUST being a nice neighbor mom!”
No, you’re just being snoopy and looking in their window to see your favorite dog, you rotter.
Add in some last minute spaghetti thrown together for supper, the bottling of a batch of pinot noir that we made and now it’s time to put my feet up, turn on the fireplace and not think of everything I have to do in the next two days.
Happy snowstorm Wednesday!
