Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet Brownie Bars.
Amen.
Really, is there anything else I can say about these other than they are Nirvana in a dessert dish?
I could say that they are so easy to make that I baked these beauties up while camping last weekend.
I could also say that this is the best dessert – bar none- for any peanut butter cup lover. For any chocolate chip cookie lover. Heck, let’s add brownie lovers to that list.
This is a dessert lovers dream.
The ingredients needed for this decadent delight are so simple and making it?
Oh my goodness, it’s as easy as pie but it tastes better!
First, take the tube of cookie dough and press into the bottom of a 12 inch pre-seasoned cast iron skillet.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions.
Once the brownie mix is combined, add in the mini Reese’s peanut butter cups.
The whole bag.
We are going gangbusters here folks, there’s no stopping now!
Pour the brownie mixture onto the cookie dough and spread out evenly.
Then, because this is an over-the-top dessert, sprinkle Reese’s Pieces on top of the brownie.
This is no time to get timid people, get that extra peanut butter taste on there!
Bake in a 350 degree trailer oven or BBQ until the brownie is cooked, making sure to watch keep the cookie bottom away from direct flame underneath it. In the BBQ cook it on one side and have the flames on the other so the bottom of the cookie doesn’t get too dark.
Let it cool so the brownie can set, about 25 minutes.
Slice and serve.
Now, you know me.
This just isn’t good enough.
You top that baby with vanilla ice cream and start pouring chocolate syrup over the top.
Do not stop! Do not hesitate!
Go go go!!
Moderation is not what we are looking here soldier! You will drop and give me twenty if you stop pouring that chocolate syrup!
Ah.
Perfection.
Something deep within me, some part of me that is still a decent person, wants to apologize for exposing you to this.
It’s almost indecent. It’s a sassy, flirty, chocolate-laden peanut butter delight that will make your knees weak and your heart flutter….. then not call you the next day.
I promise that you will enjoy every single moment of this lurid dessert love affair.
Love,
Karlynn
