This Cranberry Rum Ginger Ale is a great drink for the holidays and with the introduction of Canada Dry’s Cranberry Ginger Ale, it’s even easier to make than ever!
How to Make a Cranberry Rum Ginger Ale
To make this cocktail, there are two methods. I’ll share both for those of you who don’t have an already flavored Ginger Ale to use.
What You’ll Need
Ingredients for Method 1:
- White Rum
- Cranberry Ginger Ale
- Cranberries for garnish
Ingredients for Method 2:
- White Rum
- Cranberry Juice
- Ginger Ale
- Cranberries for garnish
Method #1 is very simple. You simply take Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale (or the equivalent if it exists). I’m only mentioning Canada Dry as it’s the only one I’ve seen so far and it’s what I used) and add in 1 ounce of white rum. I recommend garnishing with fresh cranberries and if you want to go next level and bump up the cranberry taste, you could add a couple of frozen ones into the drink (both to cool the drink and to add more flavor).
Update: I just found the Cranberry Ginger Ale on Amazon.com for those of you in the US. Here’s the link: https://amzn.to/2EDVUKO
The second method involves using a standard Ginger Ale with 1 ounce of Rum and 2 ounces of Cranberry Juice. Garnish in the same manor and serve!
This is one of the easiest drinks to make for the Christmas table and you can easily make it into a mocktail by simply excluding the rum! (your kids and those who abstain will love it!)
It’s even better if you can find yourself some nice Christmas or Holiday themed glasses like the one I’ve used above. I would also serve this in a tall tumbler for those who want a larger drink.
Happy holidays!
