Fresh peaches might be one of the biggest delights of the year, but outside of the peach season, you might get a hankering for them. To help liven up their deliciousness when they are out of season, why not make a tasty peach crumble!

You can also try a peach cobbler with Bisquick or a decadent peach melba.

Peach Crumble Recipe

It might be a pretty contentious opinion, but fresh peaches are a way better crumble filling than apples or berries. Their slightly tart yet juicy flesh works perfectly when mixed into a crumble, and they are the perfect summer treat once stone fruit season is fully in sway. But when you want them out of season and they aren’t at their peak deliciousness, this crumble is the perfect way to enjoy them!

How To Season Your Peach Crumble Differently

The seasonings used in this recipe make for a very simple and delicious peach crumble that should either remind you of home cooking as a kid or school dinners if you were very lucky.

However, feel free to play around a little bit with the seasonings to get a different flavor. You could add in some allspice and ground cardamom and end up with a flavor that is closer to a Swedish cinnamon bun.

You could also really mess around with the crumble toppings by using different types of sugar and fat; just do whatever feels right and hopefully tastes good!

How To Serve Peach Crumble

Crumble is a universally loved dessert and for a good reason. It is sweet, decadent, and just a little bit tangy, with plenty of crumbly, browned topping to provide a satisfying crunch.

After making your peach crumble, make sure that you serve it still decently warm; not so hot that it burns your mouth, but hot enough to still be steaming. Topping the whole thing with a big scoop of cold vanilla ice cream really ties it all together.

What To Do With Leftovers

Once you’ve enjoyed your peach crumble and refrigerated the remainder, what should you do with those leftovers – if you happen to have them!

You could absolutely microwave it to heat it up once again, or even loosely wrap it in foil and bake for 10 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit to re-warm the filling.

You could also break the crumble apart and make something new!

Try some homemade pancakes with the peach filling spooned over the top while cold, acting almost as a fruit preserve. For the crumble, why not use it as an ice cream topping or even just as a crunchy snack during the day?

While crumbles are super delicious, maybe the best part about them is how versatile they are in reusing them in other meals!
