As far as I’m concerned, the Pimm’s Cup is literally one of the best-tasting (and light) cocktails out there. If you want something that tastes fresh and light, this is the drink for you.

Another great light and fresh cocktail is my recently published Cape Cod.

What is Pimm’s?

Pimm’s is a gin-based liqueur first produced in the 1850s. Its original purpose was to help with digestion. It is a combination of gin and a secret blend of herbs and spices. When used in a cocktail such as this, it’s absolutely perfect.

How to Make a Pimm’s Cup

There are a number of ways to make a Pimm’s Cup, but I find that this combination is the best (and most simplified) version as it requires fewer ingredients for garnishing.

To get started, you’ll need:

  • Sprite, 7up, or Ginger Ale (I used Sprite in mine).
  • A bottle of Pimms.
  • A slice of cucumber for each glass.

Simply combine the ingredients per my recipe below, drop in the cucumber and some ice, and serve!

If this isn’t one of your new favorite cocktails after this.. I’ll be shocked.

Some other favs of mine include the Rusty Nail and the Black Russian

Hope you enjoy the drink!

We always make Pimms in a pitcher when the fruit is available – it’s delicious after it sits in the alcohol for a while. Sometimes we add a measure or two of Malibu which softens the drink beautifully 🍓🍊🍹- thanks for reminding me how good this is in the summer 😊5 stars
