I’ve always had a thing for sour drinks – the Whiskey Sour is one of my favs, but this new Cranberry Whiskey Sour is the perfect combination of sweet and sour in a cocktail. If you love Cranberry, check out my Sparkling Vodka Cranberry Cocktail too!
What is a Cranberry Whiskey Sour
This drink is a traditional whiskey sour without the egg white and using cranberry juice instead. It’s a great drink for any time and I recommend giving it a try if you are a fan of Cranberry juice or not. I’m not the type of person to typically drink cranberry juice but when combined in a cocktail like this, I do enjoy it. If you like sour drinks, don’t forget to try my Maple Rosemary Bourbon Sour or my Electric Lemonade.
How to Make a Cranberry Whiskey Sour
To make this drink, you’ll need Cranberry Juice, Whiskey (I used Canadian Club due to its sweetness), Lemon Juice (fresh if possible) and some sugar or simple syrup. Combine the ingredients in a Boston Shaker and shake with ice until cold. Pour into your glass of choice and garnish with a lemon twist or slice.
The Glassware
The glassware used here are my Roadrunner Couroc glasses. Couroc has made everything from glassware to trays and all kinds of barware and these particular ones are some of my favorites in my collection. I have four in total and the detail in the art is what makes these so stunning in my mind. You can find them at antique / vintage shops and sometimes on Etsy and Ebay.
Hope you like the cocktail!
