My son was thrilled to volunteer to test out these air fryer corn dogs. While it may seem like common sense how to cook them it was anything but! These darn things cooked too fast on the outside while the inside was still frozen but don’t worry, we figured it out for you eventually!
The air fryer is so great for snacks, like Air Fryer Bagel Bites or make a grilled cheese in the air fryer!

Air Fryer Corn Dogs
Let’s face it, corn dogs are definitely not the healthiest option in the freezer, but the kids love ’em (and so do I on occasion) so when we do order them, I would much prefer to use the air fryer as opposed to deep frying them (and making them even less healthy than they already are) so learning how to air fry them was a must. Thankfully, they cook up nicely! On my initial go around, the outside browned too quickly, and the inside was still frozen but eventually I figured out the best temperature to time ratio and it’s all outlined for you in the recipe card below.
Trials and Tribulations
I’ll break it down for you. I spent a couple of days actually testing out all the different temperatures and times for these air fryer corn dogs trying to find the right combination for these darn things. You see, I was thinking about it like a microwave: wieners typically cook very quickly but I didn’t think they’d take as long as they do when battered. The first go around, the outside browned very quickly and the inside was still frozen. By round two, I figured out that I needed to drop the temperature so I did that but they were still undercooked on the inside (even after 15 minutes). Finally, I managed to figure out the right combination, but it took about 6 microwaved corn dogs to do so (my son nuked them to bring them up to the right temperature rather than toss them. What can I say, the kid hates waste!).
So when cooking these buggers, make sure you follow these instructions properly and HOPEFULLY you won’t have any mistakes. Here’s how I spent my time over those two days.
