Easy and with simple ingredients, this apple cake is moist and delicious – the perfect way to use up apples. Apples are affordable and always a great fruit to make a dessert with. The brown sugar glaze adds a layer of decadence and should not be skipped!
Brown Sugar Glazed Apple Cake
Apple cake is soft and sweet and packed full of chunks of tender apple. Lightly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves gives the traditional apple pie taste to a tender cake. This cake is perfect for a family gathering or a BBQ as it slices up to at least 20 portions. Your friends and family will love it! Don’t forget to top this cake with my favorite Brown Sugar Icing Glaze, it is a match made in heaven!
It’s All About the Apples
Using shredded and chopped apples makes this cake absolutely loaded with apples but bakes up perfectly and slices like a dessert dream. It’s the perfect combination.
You can use any apples that you prefer in this recipe, just make sure to peel them. Granny Smith apples will add a tang to the cake, and sweet apples of course will be sweeter.
