Yes, this was back on Good Friday and yes I am really late in posting these pictures.
But doesn’t it cheer you up to see snow galore on the ground only a few mere weeks ago, only to look out your window today and see sunshine with a side of mosquitoes?
Yes, I know I am cheered up by the bounty of mosquitoes, I can’t stop scratching the bites on my arms out of sheer joy!
We did have a lovely jaunt at one of our favorite places for a family walk and picnic even though there was still so much snow for that time of year. Usually the Easter Bunny arrives outside, but this year he considered this moms sanity and saved her the muddy, snowy rubber boots and just hide everything inside the house.
That Easter Bunny, he’s one smart cookie.
Speaking of cookies, or smart, here’s the husband. The kids must have been doing something cute as they usually do, he’s smiling at someone.
And it wasn’t a bird, there was a distinct lack ‘o birds that day.
The kids tried to scope them out anyways but we were pretty skunked. The water levels looked like they are starting to make a nice comeback thanks to the heavy snow, I wonder what they are like now after the snow is completely gone.
My boy busting a move out of sheer happiness that the sun was out and a walk was possible.
Testing out my new camera. Not bad.
I really did have fun, even if it looks like I am ready to whack the husband a good one for stealing my camera.
Yah, that’s enough of that, paparazzi boy. Gimme back my camera.
If anyone is looking for a close place to walk and enjoy nature all for the cost of a donation into their little donation box, I highly suggest checking the sanctuary out. Their flower walk is amazing in the summer and of course, does everyone remember the magic mushrooms we found one year?
Hehe. Loved those mushrooms. In a photographic way, of course.
I hope everyone is gearing up for the long weekend, ready to put up with snow or rain but hey, it’s three days off work, right?
