The next eatery on our Disney Wonder cruise that I am going to write about in my mini series on Disney Wonder Dining is Goofy’s Galley. Goofy’s Galley is located on Deck 9 right by the Mickey pool, making it a perfect spot to catch some healthier nibbles before, after or during a dip in the pool.
We loved Goofy’s Galley for the multitude of healthy options. Indeed, the salads from there washed away any guilt I had about eating three desserts a day on our Disney Cruise.
Oh fine. Four desserts a day. Whatever. You go on a Disney cruise and try to tell me that you didn’t eat that many desserts, I won’t believe a word you say.
In all honesty, we did load up on fruit here every chance we could and I did love the salads that you could get all day. You can choose from a variety of fresh fruit, salads, sandwiches, panini, wraps, cookies and beverages.
It was a lovely line up of choices every day to make sure the kids had snacks between meals. Actually, I’m not sure we ate meals it seemed like we ate the entire day.
Now, beside the Galley is what I called My Children’s Dream Come True,
An all you can eat, soft serve, self-serve, ice cream nook!
Can’t you just hear my children’s screams of joy! My own squees of glee?
These beauties pumped out buckets of ice cream daily for all the cruisers. Vanilla, chocolate and swirl were the norm, however if you got lucky they occasionally put in custard, berry and banana!
Note To Disney: Banana needs to be in there all the time and swirled with chocolate. Oh Em Gee, heaven!
Ā I am ashamed to admit that I couldn’t count the cones that we consumed as a family that cruise. It seemed we were popping up for a quick cone more times than I could keep track of,
Going for a swim? Grab a cone.
Swimming and see the machine? Get out of the pool and grab a cone.
Done your swim? Grab a cone.
Shopping a few decks down and have a sudden ice cream craving? Grab a cone.
While I may exaggerate slight;y – and I do mean very slightly- we did sneak quite a few cones.
I can’t believe my jeans still fit after the cruise. How, I have no idea. Maybe I have stretchy jeans.
Ā The nicest part about Goofy’s Galley is that it has healthy options for the kids to graze on while they swam, as long as we kept them away from that ice cream machine, They would chow down on fruit between bouts of swimming, making me feel a smidge less guilty about their ice cream intake.
Ā So for those of you who have experienced the Ice Cream Machine of Dreams, do your kids still talk about it? My kids can’t stop talking about it, the ice cream machine that was FREE ALL DAY!
Thanks for stopping in everyone! If you have any questions about this restaurant, ask them in the comments below and I will try my best to answer them!
Love,
Karlynn
