Want to learn about what the dining is like on the Disney Wonder’s Triton Restaurant? Read on to find out!
Out of all the restaurants that we ate at on our cruise on the Disney Wonder, Triton’s was the one that we frequented the most. You are given a dinner rotation that takes you through all of the restaurants at least once, however, when you are on a six evening cruise and there are only three main restaurants for seating, you are going to eat a couple of places twice. We actually at here three times, which was ok by us since we loved the menu.
Triton’s is Ā a pleasant mixture of American and French cuisine with several great dishes. Ā The lamb shank pictured above is delicious and the lamb pleasantly mild, without the usual strong gaminess that comes with lamb. I also ate the crispy duck breast which was perfectly cooked and served with a lovely au jus and braised cabbage.
The seafood pasta above was to die for, with a lobster tail, scallops, mussels and shrimp all combining to make it a seafood delight!
Now for some reason, when I looked back in my photos I have a lot of pictures of desserts. I might have a slight sweet tooth, but I am sure you all know that by now!
By the third dinner we had finally figured out that the trio’s available are the best dessert on the menu if you want to sample a few things at one time.
The only exception to the rule is if there is something awesome, like the quintessential cruise dessert, Baked Alaska! Oh yes, you simply have to eat this if you are cruising, it’s almost a requirement! I swear this dessert has been on cruises since cruises were invented!
Ice cream sundae, anyone?
Thank goodness the menu changes each night, because the same menu three times in six days would have been a little too much to handle. There was always a strong emphasis on seafood based dishes in Tritons – and escargot au gratin for an appetizer that were divine!- yet always a dish that Mike would like as well, not being a fan of most seafood dishes.
Tell me, if you’ve eaten at Triton’s what did you think?
