Ah, the BBQ. Here in Canada, our season almost never ends, we simply shuffle the BBQ closer to the deck door and clear the snow away. Perhaps when it’s -40 with the windchill and the snow is so piled up we can’t open the deck door, we actually give up.
This past week I threw some chicken breast onto the BBQ, trying out a slightly different technique in the hopes that it wouldn’t dry out, as chicken breast is so wont to do. It worked like a charm and was delicious to boot.
This easy garlic BBQ chicken is most definitely an Attainable Eats recipe, so simple and easy.
Ingredients Needed:
2-4 chicken breasts
4-8 cloves of garlic
garlic and herb Mrs Dash seasoning
tin foil and tin pie plates
Take your chicken breasts, liberally sprinkle with the Mrs Dash then top with sliced garlic , each clove sliced into 2-3 pieces.
Add a couple of tablespoons of water to the pie plate then seal with tin foil. Cook at medium temperature – if you have a thermometer on your barbeque then it’s around 375- for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken breast.
Once they have reached the proper temperature – 165 for chicken breast- remove them from the tinfoil.
They look really pallid and unappealing, I know, but we will fix that in a second.
Turn the chicken breast over onto the top and grill those babies up!
Once the skin is crisped up beautifully, they are ready to eat – and look so much better!
That’s it! Nothing spectacular, hard or complicated. Just simple garlic chicken on the bbq without being dried out.
Happy Monday everyone!
