I’m sure by now that you all are aware of my massive sweet tooth. Most of the recipes on this site are desserts and there is nothing I love more than creating a new dessert for everyone to enjoy! It’s like how you crave certain things together and associate them together as a pair without even thinking about it, things like peanut butter and jam, butter and bread and for me, milk and chocolate!
What’s funny is that I really do crave milk with chocolate, but it has to be warm chocolate. Warm desserts with chocolate beg for a glass of milk to go with them.
The recipe I came up with stems from the fact that we are camping almost every day. My recipes are really simple and easy and can either be made over a campfire, or yes, in your oven or BBQ at home. So the recipe that I wanted with a tall glass of milk was Biscuit S’Mores!
Oooh yum. Just look at those!
The best part is that they only need three ingredients, because let me tell you, when you get a craving you want the food fast!
This is a super easy, yet deliciously decadent way of eating some warm and gooey chocolate, washed down with a glass of milk!
First, take a tube of refrigerated biscuit dough (Or make my own Buttermilk Biscuits!) and cut the ten pieces in half. Flatten each piece and then place a piece of chocolate on top. I used Aero Truffle but to be honest, I would use a thicker, denser chocolate next time.
Place the other biscuit half on top and pinch to seal.
Bake at 375 until the biscuits are done. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. When you can, pull the tops off and place a marshmallow on top, then place the top back on. By the time they are cool enough toeat, the marshmallow will be melted!
I must admit that I hit the nail on the head with this one. Chocolate, biscuit and marshmallows, what could go better with a glass of milk? Not much! This was the perfect campfire dessert last night and paired with a glass of milk? Heaven!
Happy Camping!

I make oven s’mores fairly regularly in my muffin tin (with liners). We love them. I make a graham cracker crumb/butter crust, toss in a hand full of chocolate chips, a tbsp. of peanut butter on that, sometimes a few crushed walnuts, topped with a few mini marshmallows and bake till golden. ‘Liscious!!
