Look boss, de crane de crane!

Which is very fitting since we attended a 70’s themed dinner theater and subsequent work Christmas party last night, which included a ton of trivia that well, left me feeling decidedly young. Nothing wrong with that, my friends, nothing wrong with that. One day, sooner than I like however, it will be time for 90’s trivia flashbacks. Was there really anything good about the 90’s though?

Let’s see…The Simpsons…..Wayne and Garth….Nirvana…the dot com boom and bust…Backstreet Boys…

Yeees. We’ll leave the 1990’s alone for now instead of depressing ourselves.

Speaking of the party, there we be, in all our fancy dressed up glory. Getting all dressed up in our fancy duds twice in one week has to be a new record for us.

I’m rather fond of the black necklace I picked up this year and I think it’s going to make an appearance tomorrow as well when we attend the kids Christmas party.

I am rather excited that everything has been in the same week, the Taste Alberta launch party, Mike’s work Christmas party and then the kids Christmas party for his work as well.

It’s done with and over in early December, how lovely is that?

I think I am actually going to be able to start my baking this week, take my time and start selecting what I am sending and to whom. I have red wine on the go which should be bottled in a week or so and that can be done.

The only thing I will be late on are my cards and Christmas pictures, which are being shot the weekend of the 18th. Too late to be out right in time for Christmas, but everyone can look forward to a nice card and family picture in the New Year. Better late than never, right? I was a scatterbrained girl and didn’t book my favorite photographer until too late.

I am off to work this evening for some downtime-yes, the irony of going in to work to relax is an odd one, but I am off my feet relaxing while doing it- then tomorrow we tackle West Edmonton Mall and the kids soiree.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone!
