I promised you easy recipes this week folks, so here’s another simple Canada Day or Fourth of July recipe. This time we are taking waffle bowls, brushing melted chocolate onto them, adding sprinkles and…
..that’s pretty much it.
All you need is:
- waffle bowls or ice cream cones
- melting chocolate in red or white (red looks superb!)
- assorted sprinkles in patriotic colors
- a silicone brush or a similar one that won’t leave bristles in the chocolate
Melt your chocolate, then brush onto the waffle bowls. This is incredibly easy and doesn’t need to be perfect, the sprinkles will hide any ridges or bumps you create with chocolate. Once that is done, cover the chocolate with your choice of sprinkles and let it set.
This my friends, is a five minute creation that will have not only children exulting with joy over their ice cream but also adults. You just can’t look at these without thinking about how gosh darn cute they are!
Tomorrow’s creation is going to be just as simple! It’s all about fast, easy, trying to make it to the long weekend and then actually having time to enjoy ourselves with our families instead of slaving in the kitchen all day.
What kind of plans do you have for Canada Day or the Fourth of July? Are any of my American readers taking the Friday off as well and having a fabulous 4 day weekend? Beach parties? Time at the lake?
I personally simply can’t wait to be at the lake again out on the boat and fishing! Is it the weekend YET?
Love,
Karlynn
