Just…waiting. A lot of waiting. For what, I am not sure, I know they install the wiring, fix the insulation, replace any broken boards and check the framing, but I thought that was going to be done sooner.
We popped by the house and the only thing new that I can see is that garage floor has been poured and looks lovely of course and peeking in the windows I can see that wiring has been installed as well.
Soon, we are assured, is our pre-drywall inspection with the site supervisor, possibly next week.
Half of me just wants them to hurry up and finish it. That would be my impatient side. The side that wants into my new dream kitchen, the side that wants to git er’ done when it comes to the yard, the basement, the everything. I just want IN, dang it.
The realistic side of me say whoa now, you need to sell this house, you have nothing packed and time is good. Time is needed. Time is actually a must.
Whatever “time”, you can just take a hike.
Actually, what I would like to do is apparate into my new house with all my belongings when it’s done.
And I hate that every time I use the word “apparate”, spell check has a heart attack.
Listen, if it’s in the Harry Potter books, it’s the Queen’s English as far as I am concerned.
So I suppose a cement floor is an update. I actually was really hoping it was just poured, I thought that scribbling Kitchen Magpie + Mr Magpie = hearts forever into the cement would have rocked, but I was foiled.
Happy Rainy, tornado warning Thursday!
Love,
My emergency survival kit is under the stairs already Magpie.

How has it been? Did the contractor finish your house on time? I know the feeling of waiting for your own house to be finished. You would start counting the days, and get even more anxious during the final completion. Even if we are using prefabricated materials for our house, I still couldn’t wait to decorate it and finally move in. ^___^

I can practically see myself stumbling around drunkenly on your property! Excellent visual.
Seriously though, so exciting, and I can’t wait for you to take possession!
