So we’ve done 10 Amazing Breakfast Recipes for Easter, now let’s move on to my favorite part of dinner : dessert! I’ve come up with a list of ten desserts, ranging from complex to incredibly simple, from those you can make ahead the night before to those you make the day of.
Here are my top picks!
My Grandma’s Pineapple Slice recipe. This one is so old school it had raw eggs in it! Fear not, I’ve removed the eggs and made my own version. I do believe this one will be on my table this Easter as I would like to re-shoot the photos for it and publish it again.
Ice cream cookies! I figured out the perfect soft cookies for ice cream sandwiches and dang it, I want something summery. I want ice cream and cold desserts!
This strawberry white chocolate trifle can be made (SHOULD be made!) the night before, leaving you time to relax (ahahaa as if) Easter Day. Well, at least dessert would be done! It’s light but decadent and seriously to die for.
Ok, my Giant Oreo Skillet Cookie is for those of you who don’t want to bake, are in a hurry or really want something that is easy and amazing. What could be better than two cookies baked into a skillet? This is TWO ingredients peeps, that’s it! Cookie dough and Oreo’s. This should NOT taste as amazing as it does.
This is a dreamy pie. Lemon Cream Pie with a Gingersnap Crust. Easter just begs for lemon desserts and this one won’t disappoint.
If you are going for looks, then my Coconut Custard Easter pie for you. It’s a simple and tasty custard pie but the decorations are what make it special.
There is always a time for hand held apple pies. Always. Easter is one of them.
My flapper pie recipe. A Canadian classic through and through. Shoot. Now I’m torn on what to make. I haven’t eaten this in months……
It’s time for more lemon! If you want a more casual dessert, try these Lemon Cheesecake Bars. The middle cheesecake layer will blow your mind.
Last, but not least, my Ice Cream Peanut Butter Pie. It has everything you want. Ice cream, chocolate and peanut butter.
Amen.
Happy baking everyone! What are you going to make for dessert this Easter? Easy or complex?
I haven’t decided what’s on the Easter menu yet. I think I’m going to just panic on Saturday. That sounds like a good plan. I have all sorts of ideas but not one solid plan.
Meh. Panic is good for you once in a while.
Love you more than chocolate,
Karlynn
