How do you make a Blue Hawaiian?
In a nutshell, you combine rum, blue CuraƧao, coconut cream, lemon juice and pineapple juice with ice to make this delicious cocktail. You would combine these ingredients in a shaker with ice and pour into your glass of choice. See below for glassware recommendations.
What type of Rum tastes best in the Blue Hawaiian?
If you want to give the drink a bit more of a pineapple boost you can also use Pineapple Malibu rum which tastes amazing in this drink. Regardless of which one you choose, if you want to preserve the look, avoid using dark rums and stick with the light colored, otherwise the blue from the CuraƧao won’t come through as nicely.
What does Blue CuraƧao taste like?
CuraƧao tastes a bit like oranges and has a unique flavor that comes from the peels of the laraha citrus fruit grown on the island of CuraƧao, hence the name. To learn more about CuraƧao read my article: Blue CuraƧao: What is it, What Does it Taste Like and More

You can serve it in pretty much any type of glass but the standard one that is most commonly used is a Hurricane Glass such as the one below. I love this drink it was the first thing I had when I got legal drinking age, lol. Can you please specify if the Creme de Coconut is a liqueur or are you meaning coconut cream?
Mike Johnston says
It’s not a liqueur it’s a literal cream of coconut, comes in a can but there’s a different type that is not the same. Google it for examples.
Thanks!

Comment posted before I was finished. Did you purposefully leave out the cream of coconut? If so, is that because you find the drink to be better without it?

I love this drink! Looks great and tastes yummy!! I did try one minor change. Instead of coconut cream I used 3/4 oz. of Malibu Coconut Rum in its place. It makes to body a little lighter, but it is also very yummy!
